工艺美术师——霍英

      霍英，工艺美术师，生于1934年，石湾人，出生于陶艺世家，从十二岁时随其兄霍日增学习制陶。1952年入广州人民美术社石湾雕塑工场，1956年正式当区乾助手，在名师的指导下学习创作设计，颇有心得。1963年底调回石湾美术陶瓷厂工作至退休。多年来在师承传统的基础上，自己深入生活，力求在作品表现自己的特色。代表作红釉《狮子》、《麒麟》在保持汉唐的雄伟气势下，注重动物的性格刻画，以求达到形神兼备。石湾美术陶瓷厂的“红狮牌”商标中的红釉“狮子”就是霍英创作的。
